The kitchen and the common room are in the arched ground floor, which is the oldest part of the house dating back to the 14th<\/sup> century. The room offers the possibility to eat and cook together with other guests, but it can also be used for events or workshops. <\/span><\/p>\n

La Maison 1393<\/b><\/p>\n

La Maison 1393 is a stately building dating back to the 14th century.A stone\u2019s throw from the Sainte-L\u00e9ocadie church, it is said to have been linked to it in the past. Its location on the town square marks its place in time, as the heart of the old city has evolved and grown up around it.<\/p>\n

The distinguishing feature of the ground floor is a centuries-old arch ceiling in which the eponymous number 1393 is engraved. The walls and ceilings, which are several meters thick, protect the interior from the summer heat. Wine used to be produced on the ground floor. This hall now serves as a common area. A huge oak table invites guests in, giving them a place to gather, eat, and celebrate together.The modern kitchen in the back part of the ground floor provides everything you need to store and prepare the regional delicacies.<\/p>\n

The first floor has two apartments. The charm of the past reveals itself in the form of old chimneys, which are complemented and contrasted with the modern flair of contemporary furniture. Both apartments feature French balconies.<\/p>\n

Another two modern apartments are on the top floor, both of which offer breath-taking panoramic views of the city and its surroundings. \u201cThe landscape of Vic la Gardiole is simply amazing. In only 10 minutes \u2013 with the house\u2019s bicycles \u2013 you can reach a secluded beach with flamingos everywhere behind the dunes. Just after landing at the Montpellier Airport flamingos welcomed us: they stood next to the flight path, very surprising! For those who prefer it a little bit cooler in the summer, there is the backcountry and the crystal-clear river H\u00e9rault where you can swim. There are also lots of wine merchants where you can taste and buy wine\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThe tourist attractions in the neighbourhood can\u2019t be visited in three weeks: Montpellier, Carcassonne, Toulouse, Narbonne, Nimes, Avignon, Marseille, Aix-en-Provence, Cannes, Nice\u2026 There are lots of museums, concert and opera houses where something takes place every season.
